Give to a specific need
You browse the open needs, read the description, look at the photographs, and fund the one you want. This is the path that makes the whole trail possible, because your money is attached to a purchase from the start.
How it works
A donation here is tied to one specific need from the moment you make it. Eight things have to happen before that need is allowed to close, and you can see every one of them.
The trail
This is not a description of good intentions. Each step is a state the requirement has to actually reach in the system before it can move to the next one.
Shelter or sangh
A title, a plain description, at least one real photograph of the situation, the exact amount with a breakdown where possible, a category, and an urgency level. Vague appeals are rejected at moderation.
You
Fund all of it or part of it. More than one donor can fund the same need, and the amount raised is visible as it moves.
Shelter or sangh
They buy against that specific need and record what it actually cost, which is not always what was estimated.
Shelter or sangh
The invoice or receipt for the purchase, uploaded against the requirement.
Shelter or sangh
Pictures, and video where it helps, of the purchase and of it being used. The feed in the shed, the animal being treated.
Shelter or sangh
A few lines in plain language on how the money was used. The requirement cannot be submitted without both a bill and a photo.
Admin or volunteer
The proof is reviewed before anything closes. Only a verified requirement counts towards the organisation's trust score.
In your app
The full trail sits under that donation in My Donations, permanently, along with the 80G receipt.
What a need must contain
Six things are required before a need can even go to moderation. If a posting is vague or the photographs look reused, it does not reach donors.
Two ways to give
You browse the open needs, read the description, look at the photographs, and fund the one you want. This is the path that makes the whole trail possible, because your money is attached to a purchase from the start.
If you would rather not choose, give to a shelter or sangh directly. It is marked as undesignated, then allocated to that same organisation’s open needs. It joins the same chain of bill, photographs and report, just one step later.
Tax receipts
One consolidated receipt per organisation per financial year, covering every donation you made to them in that year. It carries their legal name and 80G registration number, and the payment reference.
It sits in My Donations, ready to download whenever you need it.
Browse verified shelters and sanghs, fund a specific need, and follow it through to the bill. Available in English, Hindi and Gujarati.
Both buttons go live the day the app is published.
